Pizza Stella
A Porta Romana slice shop devoted entirely to New York-style pizza, built by Bar Paradiso's Maurizio Tentella and Saro Pomario with a New York-trained pizzaiolo at the oven.
Pizza Stella is a pizzeria dedicated exclusively to New York Style pizza, made with quality Italian ingredients from regional producers, and pizzaiolo Giuseppe Palmisano spent time in New York to master the fold-and-eat slice technique. The wide, thin-crust pies are baked round and giant, then cut into slices you order at the counter and eat standing at the bar or out on the sidewalk. It stays open until 1am on weeknights and 2am on weekends, filling a genuine gap in Milan's late-night dining scene.
Best for: Late-night slices and casual solo or group bites after bar-hopping
